Behind the scenes...

As a young family, we have had an enormous adventure to renovate the lovely theatre. We have spent all our resources to bring the dormant forgotten theatre back to life. It cost sacrificing our house, and living in the projector room and storage rooms for more than 3 years so that we could spend every sent on getting the business up and running. It was cramped and uncomfy, but we are so grateful for the end result. Tsumeb's theatre was such a wonderful part of the town's history and it was a privilege to get it back on the map and get the community together to enjoy all its benefits. The last renovations were finished in 2019.

A tragedy struck shortly after in 2020, when Covid-19 caused us to close our doors for a couple of months. Things are slowly turning back to normal and we ere hopeful that things will be completely restored, very soon. Our oldest son Luan will be your  host at TeaterHuis.
